My goal as a father, candidate, and West Virginian is to build a better West Virginia where our people can live comfortably and raise their families. That is why I am running for House of Delegates District 6. If elected, my top priorities in the legislature will be affordability, worker’s rights, and family.
Affordability:
- West Virginia has some of the fastest rising utility rates in the country. I will fight for changes and public investments that will lower our utility rates and make the Public Service Commission more accountable to the public that it serves.
- Grocery prices have gotten out of control. I will fight for changes to lower grocery bills, make fresh and affordable food accessible, and support our local West Virginia farmers.
- Housing prices have made home ownership nearly impossible for young people in West Virginia. I will work to make owning a home more attainable by supporting new construction and strengthening first-time homebuyer programs so that our young people can stay in West Virginia.
Worker’s Rights:
- Wages simply have not kept up with increases in inflation and cost of living. In a time of record corporate profits there is absolutely no excuse for this, which is why I will fight to increase the wages of our workers by supporting policies such as prevailing wage, and conditioning corporate tax subsidies on fair wages.
- In 2025 the AFL-CIO ranked West Virginia as the second deadliest state in the United States for workers. This is unacceptable. We have lost too many of our brothers and sisters to preventable workplace accidents caused by corporate greed and negligence. I will fight tooth and nail to improve safety and working conditions for our workers and to end dangerous policies such as caps on deliberate intent damages.
- The legislature has spent years dismantling our collective bargaining rights. I will fight to restore those rights and strengthen our unions.
Family
- Access to affordable, quality childcare is a challenge that so many of our families face. Not having childcare makes it difficult for parents, especially mothers, to work and pursue their career goals. I will work to expand access to quality and affordable childcare for all of our families.
- Our children are our future, and our future depends on having a well-educated population. I support our public schools and will work to increase their funding and resources so that our children can have competitive, high-quality educations that will set them up for success whatever path they decide to take.
- Not having access to paid sick and maternity leave makes it incredibly difficult for people to start and support their families. I will fight for policies that will give our workers paid sick and maternity leave and make West Virginia a more family-friendly state.
While Affordability, Worker’s Rights, and Family are my top three priorities for office, they are not my only priorities. You can learn more about my other priorities below.
New, High-Quality Jobs
- I will work to make West Virginia a more attractive and competitive destination for new employers bringing high-quality and high paying jobs that will enable our people to live comfortably.
Infrastructure
- I understand the struggle of driving on sub-par roads full of potholes that damage our cars. I will support increasing funding and resources so that we can fix the damn roads.
Reproductive Freedom
- Medical decisions are best made between a woman and her doctor, not dictated to her by big-government legislators in Charleston, which is why I support a woman’s right to choose and will fight to restore that right in Charleston.
A More Welcoming West Virginia
- I firmly believe that hate has no place in our holler. That is why I will fight to defend the rights of every single West Virginian to love and marry who they choose, to access the medical care that they need, and to live as full, free, and equal members of our society, without big-government interference from Charleston.
Ending Hunger
- Feeding America estimates that one in six West Virginians and one in five children in West Virginia are facing hunger. To me this is unacceptable. I will fight to support and strengthen West Virginia’s foodbanks and school nutrition programs and work to end hunger in West Virginia.
